There are many profoundly essential Rules of Parenting. Today we will discuss Rule #14: Do not play children's music in your vehicle that makes you want to rip off your ears and throw them into oncoming traffic. For the sake of your sanity and your children's cultural maturity, BUY. REAL. MUSIC. Do not subject your family to 349 verses of The Wheels on the Bus.
End. Rant.
Over the years, our family has become huge fans of a rather diverse group of artists. We are currently loving everything from Pentatonix to Toby Mac to Mercy Me... the list goes on and on. And not once have I felt the need to inflict bodily self-harm because of the driving music the girls chose that day. Parenting Win.
This weekend one of our favorite bands,The Okee Dokee Brothers, came to a neighboring town and we hit the road for our first concert as a family.
Great day. Great music. Great memories.
Moral of the story? Everyone wins when you follow Parenting Rule #14.
