The Adoption Fundraiser Yard Sale, Take V

Welcome to Yard Sale #5.

Our motto? Go big or go home.

More tables, more boxes, more treasures than ever before. Our basement was so full, we were storing things in friend's houses. (That, folks, is friendship.)

And because I can't resist the challenge to top last year (it's a sickness, people), we had our first ever Yard Sale Raffle with some fabulous items donated by friends and local businesses.

After enduring Pennsylvania's unexpected monsoon season and being forced to initiate Rain Date Plan B and then Rain Date Plan C, the day was still an unparalleled success. Sunshine, perfect temps, and many eager shoppers... the perfect yard sale formula.

As always, we had a Support Team that deserves a standing ovation. Friends filled in as movers, un-packers, money-counters, pricers, bakers, table-haulers, and everything in between.

We even had a She-Hulk.

When all was said and done, I took a shoebox stuffed full of $3,245.25 to the bank. Never done that before. Our goal was $3,000 to pay our dossier fees and, as He always has, God more than met that goal.

We are ready for you, Bob. Now if Burundi can just get its act together...
