Roots

My husband's family is German.

Very German.

If you say our last name with the right inflection and angst, it could pass as a German curse word.

My bloodlines lie a little outside the Rhineland. Think American Indian and Irish. And throw in a little French for good measure. I'm a mutt. It's true.

A mutt without one drop of German blood, I should add. I don't know how to use umlauts, I think sauerkraut is nasty, and the idea of the autobahn just scares me. (I wouldn't mind owning an Audi though.)

But Andy's German heritage has always been very important to him which is why he is absolutely delighted that Pickle has been working so hard on this:

(That's 1-10 in German, in case you were wondering.)
