As my father would say, it's been a coon's age ( what does that even mean? do coon's live especially long lives? google it, people, and fill me in) since I did this type of post. I think it is more than time for a second installment.
Andy is reading... Food Rules by Michael Pollan (Rule #3 Avoid food products containing ingredients that no ordinary human would keep in the pantry. We are card-carrying members of the Michael Pollan Fan Club.)
Jill is reading... two old favorites: The Chronicles of Narnia & The Pursuit of God. (Three quarters of a century later and Lewis and Tozer are still the bomb.)
Janelle is reading... Anything she can get her hands on by Ron Roy. That girl loves a good mystery.
Lilly & I are reading together... Wide Water by Philip and Erin Ulrich, the 2nd book in the Growly Series, and beautiful illustrated by Annie Barnett, a good friend from my Nyack days.
Current family memory verse... "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad it in." Psalm 118:24
Because we all needed an attitude adjustment.
Favorite game... Monopoly Jr. Janelle is the reigning champion.
Favorite meal... Brinner. Without question.
Current projects... Kitchen back splash and a massive garden expansion.
Janelle loves... Reading, space documentaries, cuddles, pizza, Ingrid Visser, and school.
Lilly loves... Playing wii, playdough, her mp3 player, baking, being outdoors, and snack time.
Janelle hates... Asparagus, chores, being cold, and being woken up.
Lilly hates... Rest time, being hurried, getting dressed, and being called "little".
Coming in the Summer of 2014: Adoption Fundraiser Yard Sale Take IV, a trip to Erie and Splash Lagoon, bike lessons, and many many trips to the school pool. Bring on Summer!
