It may be true that Andy is drowning in the deep end of the estrogen pool.
It may be true that even the dog is a girl.
BUT...
We have a secret weapon up our sleeves. One with which to ward off the forces of pink princesses whenever they threaten to overwhelm us. What is this powerful mystery weapon, you ask?
Thou shalt call them LEGOS!
(Insert fanfare & rejoicing.)
Even fairy wings and sparkle crowns cower in the face of two parents' life-long obsession. An obsession that produced three large rubbermaid totes full of miscellaneous Lego paraphernalia. And many quiet evenings pawing through said tubs in happy abandon.
Lest you think we don't take our legos seriously in this house...
Lilly's plane (built by Daddy):
Janelle's plane (built by Daddy under Nelly's oversight and supervision):
Jill's helicopter (built by Andy as a Christmas gift in homage to my admitted Airwolf obsession):
A Bell 222 supersonic, armed helicopter codenamed Airwolf and flown by the renegade pilot Stringfellow Hawke...
Andy's plane:
A nod to the 1930's Travel Air Model R racers and piloted by the fearless young hotshot known only by his call sign, Rooster.
Put that all together and what do you get?
Epic Lego Plane Races, of course.

Eli said that he might need to bring a plane over to join in these races. :)
ReplyDeleteCan I come over and play, too?
