It's been more than a year since we finished our last fundraiser and I wrote that the fat lady had sung.

Well friends, we are thrilled to tell you that the figurative fat lady quit singing and started the Couch to 5K program because here we go again... only this time, there are twenty of us.

If you thought we were done with the "running" fundraisers, you weren't the only ones. Actually, we thought we might even be done fundraising all together because we knew we did not want to start something we weren't absolutely excited about and fully convinced was God-directed.

One year went by and we waited.

We focused on family and tried not to obsess over the excruciatingly s-l-o-w changing wait list number.

Until we stumbled across an idea.

And the idea took on a life of its own and left us holding on for dear life, grinning the whole way.

Here's the Deal... Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is 7,155 miles away from home sweet home here in Pennsylvania. We are going to cover that distance within the next 365 days. And the best part? We have a team of 20 friends and family from all over the United States to help us, everywhere from Alaska to Georgia to Minnesota and in between. They have each committed to walking or running for the next year to help us reach the team goal of 7,155 miles and they will be able to raise sponsor support from all over the country, not just our little neck of the woods.

Please pray for the team over this next year, for health and safety as they log in many miles on the road.

Pray for each team member as they strive to raise sponsor support.

Pray for the orphans all over the world who are waiting to be matched and for the ones left behind.

Pray that God uses this fundraiser and our adoption story to bring glory to His name.

We have watched in awe as God has brought in over $22,000 to date. We are confident that this last $10,000 is spare change to him.

So here we go friends.
